Triple Cooked

A prototype game by the Gang Of Five.

This is an early prototype created for a university project. It represents a proof of concept rather than a full release. Some features, visuals, and performance aspects are still in development — bugs are to be expected! A full version may follow with future support and funding.

How to Play

The “Triple Cooked” prototype demo features a segment of gameplay where the player assumes the role of chef Jeff Norman holding down the Pho Real? restaurant on a typical busy day. As the day progresses, the primary goal is to serve customers in the restaurant, earning money from successful serving of meals. The restaurant business hours are from 11:00 to 00:00 which is represented at the top of the screen.

Controls

The game is played in the first person with WASD movement and mouse look. Context sensitive actions are made available with (E) and (F) keys The mouse cursor is available in menus and dialogue(s).

Press “Esc” to pause.

From time-to-time customers will enter the restaurant looking for meals. Table Customers will enter the restaurant and look for a free table and decide what to eat. When they are ready to place and order, an indicator light on their table will change from red to green to signal they are ready to talk.

Orders that are placed by customers appear on the screen in the kitchen. Each order ticket describes the meal and the ingredients needed to create it. Once a meal has been created, it needs to be carried into the restaurant and given to the customer.

For example, to create a sushi meal, the player should:

- Gather one (1) each of ingredients salmon, rice and pepper and put them on the board.

- With the ingredients on the board, use the context sensitive "Combine" feature to create the dish.

- Pick up the dish and return to the restaurant area, interact with the customer that ordered the meal by pressing “E” to see the outcome.

- Failed dishes should be cleared away to make room for the next.
